Bio: Fancy was rescued from an auction in Texas. We were told she was untouchable and they ran her through like cattle at the auction. She was terrified. Our trainer spent a short amount of time with her and gained her trust enough to get a halter on her at the auction and she lead and loaded like a champ. Fancy is very timid she doesn't trust humans completly yet although she is very willing and is trying hard to be the best horse she can be. We are now able to pet her face, neck and back and we are just now introuducing a dandy brush to her. fly spray is out of the question she hates it! We are taking it day by day but she is making progress quickly.
UPDATE: 11/9 Fancy is letting us lead and bathe her she is very willing to please her handlers. She is quite the gem.
Update: 1/3/2013 Fancy has come a LONG way from the terrified little girl we saw at the auction. Fancy lets us brush her and bathe her, she even got her front feet trimmed by the farrier for the first time ever! She is so heavy in foal thought the back feet were out of the question because it made her to uncomfortable. She did WONDERFUL for never having her feet done. She needs someone to trust and love, once she trust you she will do anything for you. She is a great little pony. Blanket monsters still scare her but that is to be expected! She willingly comes for food and treats and seeks out human attention now. We can't wait for the baby to come to finish her training she will make some child very happy one day.
1/21/2013 Fancy now accepts her blanket like a champ she is very willing to make her human handlers happy. She also has learned how to give kisses and puts her nose up to you for a kiss.
